It has been announced that today, the 21st day of January 2018, the federal government will extend it's no-interest loan scheme AKA "TraderMoni" to Ekiti State. The Senior Special Assistant on Mobilisation to Ekiti State Governor, Mr Tunji Ogunlola, stated this in Ado-Ekiti on Friday. The SSA added that the scheme was designed to help petty traders expand their trade through the provision of a collateral-free loan of N10,000.
The Ekiti State Government and the market trade unions has held several meetings for proper identification of real traders; this is so that repayment of the loan can be possible.
The "TraderMoni" scheme is part of the President Buhari administration's socio - investment programme to ensure that traders whose business are at below ₦10,00 level get their first loan of ₦10,000 and access higher loans of up to ₦50,000 when they are able to pay the first loan.
What do you think about the "TraderMoni" scheme happening barely one month to election, in an administration that has failed to increase worker's minimum wage? Is it part of campaign strategy? What will you do with ₦10,000 "TraderMoni" if it gets to you?
