Another very important prayer of a Muslim
that everyone who is conscious of having peace for his soul should question is
the prayer probably prayed more than the Al Fatiha. When you mention the name
of Muhammad in a conversation, you must immediately pray for him: Sallah Allahu
wa Sallam (May the peace of Allah be upon him).
This prayer comes from a command both in
the Quaran and in the Hadith. The Quran says: “… O you who believe (followers
of Muhammad), invoke blessings on him and invoke peac upon him…” (Sura 33:56).
The Hadith of Al-Tirmidi records Abu Hurayrah as saying:
“The Messenger of Allah said… ‘May he be
humiliated, the man in whose presence I am mentioned and he does not send Salah
upon me: may he be humiliated, the man who sees the month of Ramadan come and
go, and he is not forgiven: may he be humiliated, the man whose parents live to
old age and they do not cause him to be granted admittance to paradise.’”
Therefore, because you do not want to be
under a curse, at the end of every daily prayer (salat) session, as a Muslim,
you must repeat a similar prayer: “O Lord, have mercy upon and give peace to
Muhammad.”
Do you know that it is not the decayed
body or bones of Muhammad that you are praying for? You are praying for the
peace of his soul after death. You’re praying that Allah would grant Muhammad
paradise, which is actually called “the home or abode of peace” in the Quran
(Surah 10:25-26). In other words, you are all praying for the salvation of his
soul. These are my sincere questions for you?
1.
Is this demand and command for
prayer an indication that the prophet didn’t have an assurance that he would be
saved and so decided to command all of you his followers to pray that Allah
would grant him mercy to enter the abode of peace?
2.
Have you heard of any place in
the bible where Christians were commanded to pray for Jesus or for the peace
and salvation of any of God’s true prophets and apostles after their deaths?
3.
Why do you have to always pray
for Muhammad’s peace regularly?
4.
Are you on a safe ground to be
following a prophet that depends on your prayer for his peace? Or should you
not follow a prophet that would be praying for you instead?
5.
Since billions of you have been
praying to Allah to grant peace to Muhammad for 1,400 years, should the prayers
not have been answered?
6.
What guarantee do you have as a
Muslim that after death you will have peace if prayers of billions of people
have not produced peace in 1,400 years for the prophet?
7.
If Muhammad is in paradise
would he not be in peace?
8.
Who prays for you to have
peace?
9.
Has it ever crossed your mind
that the only place where there is no peace after death is in Hell Fire?
10.
Do you know that Christians are
not under any obligation to pray for Jesus Christ and such prayers are not
needed for him from the Muslims?
We must know
that in Isaiah 9:6 the Bible already tells us that the peace of God already
rests upon Jesus. Thus, he is called the Prince of Peace. Jesus himself said in
John 14:27; Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world
giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
fearful. Jesus is peace to us Christians, we do not pray for Him, He prays for
us as found in John 17.
Come to Jesus
now so that you may have rest for your souls!
